How are you my eyes?
You could say that "How are my eyes?" is meaningless in English language to which I agree. However I have to explain its meaning in the Iraqi's local Arabic language in order to get more understanding about the context of this Iraqi key phrase. The two eyes are too important for any human being. They are our tool to taste and enjoy the beauties around us. As such, you have to know that when a real Iraqi asks you “How are my eyes?” or “Ishlonak Eayonee?” it means the heart is open for you to be a friend and you are given the respect and appreciations that usually should be given to one’s own eyes. That’s magic and reflects how nice and generous our Iraqi-Arabic language is.
